Carol Elizabeth (Dennis) Simon

Obituary

      Carol Elizabeth Simon, age 83 of Carrier Mills, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana; passed away at 11:40 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center in Carrier Mills.

      Carol was born on February 5, 1937 in Marietta, Ohio to the late George Franklin and Lydia Josephine (Dixon) Dennis.  On January 27, 1955 she married Cecil Eugene Simon and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2019. Carol was a member of Ellettsville Church of Christ of Ellettsville, Indiana.  She loved her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved to read her Bible and go to church. She also enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles.

     Carol is survived by four children, Ron Simon of Bloomington, Indiana; Darrell Simon and wife Libby of Harrisburg; Cathy McKinney and husband Mike of Spencer, Indiana;  and Gary Simon of Bedford, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Nathan Simon and wife Krutika of Bloomington, Indiana; Monica Simon of Bloomington, Indiana; Craig Simon and wife Linda of Houston, Mississippi; Alicia Simon of French Lick, Indiana; Kara Simon of Arlington, Virginia; Micayla McKinney of Spencer, Indiana; Matt Hobbs and wife Brooke of Bloomington, Indiana; Cody Hobbs of Bloomington, Indiana; and Dustin Hobbs of Bloomington, Indiana; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents and husband Cecil, Carol was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Dennis, John Dennis, Don Dennis and Dwain Dennis and sisters, Garnett Hupp, Lucille Braden and one sister in early childhood.
