Cynthia Louise (Cox) Crawford

November 22, 1948 ~ November 8, 2018 (age 69)

     Cynthia Louise Crawford, 69 of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:50 AM, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her residence in Harrisburg.

     Cynthia was born on November 22, 1948 in Centralia, Illinois to the late Mark and Margaret (Ballance) Cox. She married Carl Crawford, her high school sweetheart, on September 7, 1969 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2002.  Cynthia was a Clerk in the Saline County Circuit Clerks office for 16 year. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority-XI Theta Tau Chapter.  Cynthia’s father was a funeral director and she was raised in Cox and Martin Funeral Home in Patoka. She really enjoyed her Fairfax Drive and Lexington Manor neighbors.

     Cynthia is survived by a daughter, Beth Bittle and husband Todd of Harrisburg; son Clay Crawford and wife Darcey of Warsaw, Poland; five grandchildren, Patrick Bittle, Sarah Bittle and Andrew Bittle all of Harrisburg, and Margot Crawford and Malcolm Crawford of Warsaw, Poland; brother, Bill Cox and wife Sandy of Patoka, Illinois; sister in law, Carol Crabb of Harrisburg; sister in law, Nellie Koons of Clinton, Illinois.

     In addition to her parents, and husband Carl, Cynthia was preceded in death by brothers in law, Jerry Crabb, Bob Koons, Dean Crawford.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg. Rev. Ron George will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, Monday, November 12, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Harrisburg Athletics and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
