Ronnie Cluck

September 10, 1948 ~ May 15, 2022 (age 73)


     Ronnie Cluck, changed his address to a heavenly one on May 15, 2022 at 8:47 AM, surrounded by his family.

     Ronnie was born on September 10, 1948 in Hamilton County to the late Forrest and Edna (Hicks) Cluck.  Ronnie married Carrol Murrow on May 23, 1968 and she survives in Galatia. Ronnie formerly worked as a coal miner and also as a district manager for Russell Oil Company. Ronnie worked for Russell Oil for 35 years.  He was a member of the North America Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  Ronnie deeply loved his family and so enjoyed spending time with his two great granddaughters. He also loved to hunt, fish and work in his garden.

     Ronnie is survived by his wife Carrol Cluck of Galatia; three children, daughter, Rhonda Beckman and husband Bob of Harrisburg; daughter, Tracy Adams and husband Levi of Galatia, and son, Ricky Cluck and wife Amy of Morrisonville; ten grandchildren, Nichole Griffith and husband Matt of Galatia; Bodie Beckman and wife Megan of Norris City; Shelby Fugate and husband J.D. of Harrisburg; Jesse Basham of Harrisburg; Katelyn Basham of Benton; Breanné

Wilkinson and husband Brady of Simpson; Trystan Cluck of Taylorville; Travis Cluck of Cowden; Tony Cluck of Golconda; and Christian Cluck of Morrisonville; two great granddaughters, Anna Griffith and Raylynn Griffith of Galatia and baby Beckman due in October; brother Gene Cluck and wife Nancy of Alabama; sister, Sue Hinkle and husband Jim of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

    Ronnie was preceded in death by parents Forrest and Edna Cluck; grandson, Jacob Cluck and a sister, Brenda Cluck.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Ricky Cluck and Rev. Dale Martin will officiate; burial will follow in Tate’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
