Wilma Pauline Banks, 94 of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at 5:17 am Thursday February 17th.
Pauline, as everyone knew her, was born on September 4, 1927 in Hardin County, to the late Ray and Christal (Patterson) Drumm. She was the first born of three daughters. Pauline's parents and grandparents were Irish and Scottish immigrants and homesteaded a small farm in the community known as Karber's Ridge, Illinois. She married Ralph Banks on February 25, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1988. Pauline was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church and formerly worked as a sales clerk for Kresge's Department Store, Mohr Value, and Kmart.
Pauline is survived by two sons, David Ralph (Linda) Banks of Herod, Illinois and Richard Lee Banks of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Lori (Matt) Bradley, Kristin (Blake) Wilson, Bradley (Loni) Banks, Brian (Shelly) Banks; ten great grandchildren, Ian Bradley, Collin Bradley, Olivia Wilson, Calen Banks, Grant Wilson, Kaden Bradley, Ava Wilson, Raegan Banks, Bryden Banks and Bryce Banks.
In addition to her parents and husband Ralph, Pauline was preceded in death by two sons, Leland Paul Banks and Terry Leon Banks; two grandson, Kevin Michael Banks, and Jeffrey Neal Banks; and two sisters, Maxine Douglas, and Imogene Piland.
Funeral services for Wilma Pauline Banks will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate and burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery at Herod. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
