Mary Winkleman was born August 23, 1951 in Harrisburg to John Lyman Schork and Lida Mae "Torchy" Schork. She was welcomed into the eternal embrace of her savior on July 17th 2021 at 9:30 am.
She married David Ewell Winkleman on January 26, 1973. The couple made Harrisburg their home for their entire lives. Mary worked in a variety of jobs around Harrisburg. Many recall buying their engagement ring or class ring from her as she and David ran Winkleman's Jewelry. Later she worked for several years at IYC and Shawnee Corrections in Vienna where she was adored by her co-workers.
Her primary vocation however was always as a devoted mother to her sons Matt and Chris. Through countless baseball games, concerts and other activities she was a constant presence of support.
All of this was driven by her love for Jesus whom she served faithfully throughout her life, most recently as a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisburg where she taught children's Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, volunteered at Chossier's kitchen and worshiped faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lida "Torchy" Schork and a brother John Matthew who died in infancy.
She is survived by her husband David, sons Matt (Laura) Winkleman and Chris (Laura) Winkleman, a sister Melanie (Ed) Bradley, 10 grandchildren who are her pride and joy; Samuel David Winkleman, Sophia Nicole Winkleman, Isaac Thomas Winkleman, Luke Fischer Winkleman, Mary Elizabeth Winkleman, Sarah Grace Winkleman, Lilli Kate Winkleman, Noah Christopher Winkleman, Asher Matthew Winkleman and Matthew Boaz Winkleman, and several nieces and nephews.
