Bernard Feazel “Banjie” age 92, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:07 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Lindsey.
Bernard was born on July 23, 1928 in Harrisburg, to the late Hughie and Lillie (Endicott) Feazel. He married Barbara Boulden on November 22, 1945. Bernard served in many capacities with Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative and on retirement in 1994 he had advanced to utility service man. Bernard was a member of the First Baptist Church where in his younger years he served as a Deacon.
Bernard is survived by a son, Kurt Feazel and wife Terry of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Kathy Lindsey and husband James of Harrisburg; grandchildren, DiDi Seagraves and husband Gary, Craig Feazel and wife Kriston, Ray Lindsey and wife Kristi; and Katy Wynne and husband Billy; great grandchildren, Blaze Seagraves, Margot Feazel, Lily Wynne and Nicklaus Wynne; sister Holly Webb, sister-in-law Patty Feazel, two nieces, Sandy Snyder and husband Jim; and Scarlet Flarardy and husband Rex; and one great niece, Michelle Lienenbach and husband Jerry.
Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; brothers, Robert Feazel, Wallace Feazel, and J. W. Feazel, and sisters, Bernadette Feazel and Lila Demita Feazel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Jeremy Bennett will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2020. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
