Lou Tennie (Teague) Price

March 16, 1936 ~ June 25, 2019 (age 83)

     Lou Tennie Price, age 83 of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:45 AM, June 25, 2019 at her residence.

     Lou was born on March 16, 1936 in Nortonville, Kentucky to Rufus and Lillie Alice (Pendley) Teague.  Lou married Luther Price on September 4, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2008.  Lou was an active and faithful member of the Harrisburg Church of Christ.  She was active in visitation and ministering to those who were shut in or in nursing homes.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who affectionately referred to her as “Granna”. She loved children and was a foster parent to many children.  She had many talents.  She was a poet, songwriter, seamstress, artist, quilter, and gardener.  She loved painting ceramics and tole paintings.  She had two green thumbs and could grow just about anything.  She enjoyed her flower and food gardens.

     Lou is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Simon and husband Darrell of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Craig Simon and wife Linda of Houston, Mississippi; Alicia McKee of French Lick, Indiana; and Kara Simon of Bedford, Indiana; a great granddaughter, Callista Simon of Houston, Mississippi; sister, Christeen Marks of Smyrna, Tennessee; sister, Alice Gosey of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister, Helen Shampane of Smyrna, Tennessee, brother, Darold Teague and wife Josephine of Ashland City, Tennessee; brother, Harold Teague of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Charlie Teague of Nashville, Tennessee; and sister Peggy Williams and husband R.D. of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

     Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Price; parents, Rufus and Lillie Teague; brother, John Teague and a sister Cathy Neel.

    Funeral services for Lou Tennie Price will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.  Brothers Darrell Simon, Craig Simon, and Bob Coburn will officiate.  Visitation will be from 12 PM to 2 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to World Christian Broadcasting Corporation at 605 Bradley Ct., Franklin, Tennessee  37067.  Burial will take place in Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.reedfuneralchapel.com.
