Lawrence Walter Lesinski, Sr., age 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:10 AM, Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.
Larry was born on February 11, 1948, in Flint, Michigan to the late Dorothy (Lesinski) and Joseph Hoffman. On January 20, 1973 he married JoAnne Herman and she survives in Harrisburg. Larry was a medical laboratory technologist supervisor and retired from McLaren Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan. Larry lived for his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the United Street Machine Association and enjoyed showing his 1972 Chevelle. When he was able, Larry was active in his church.
Larry is survived by his son, Larry Lesinski, Jr. and his wife, Nicole, of Waterford, Michigan; son, Michael Lesinski and his wife Nichole of Cheboygan, Michigan; nine grandchildren; Joseph Ballard, Eathan Bonilla, Jaiden Lesinski, Amiah Lesinski, Zoe Bonilla, Tegan Todd, Taylor Lesinski, Grayson Lesinski and Rowan Lesinski; brother, Joe Hoffman and wife Renee of Skidway, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Gatha Lewis and Jimmie Dudley.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Hoffman.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 6 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Steven Beaty and Father Christian Iwuagwu will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 5:30 PM at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Harrisburg with a Rosary Service at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Reed Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
