Obituary

     Kenneth Butler, age 80, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:28 AM, Thursday, August 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

     Kenneth was born on March 21, 1939 in Saline County, to the late Louie and Madge (Perkins) Butler.  He married Linda Feazel on March 26, 1957 in Harrisburg, and she survives. Kenneth was a mechanic for Sahara Coal Company for over twenty-five years.  He loved to work on lawn mowers and small engines in his spare time.  He was a member of Equality Methodist Church.

     Kenneth is survived by his wife, Linda Butler of Harrisburg; daughter, Debbie Aud and husband Scott of Harrisburg; son, Kenny Butler of Elizabethtown, Illinois; grandson, Justin Aud and wife Susie of Galatia, Illinois; brother, Denzel Butler and wife Colleen of Harrisburg; sister, Laverne Winters of Kent, Ohio; sister-in-law, Peggy Pickering of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

     Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wayne Butler; brother, Donald “Doc” Butler; and a sister in infancy.

     Funeral services for Kenneth Butler will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Billy Dye, Jr. and Rev. Thad Galloway will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions in honor of Kenneth Butler may be made to the Equality Methodist Church Food Panty and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
