Billie Joyce (Foster) Densch

January 5, 1931 ~ May 30, 2019 (age 88)

Billie Joyce Foster Densch, age 88 of Harrisburg, passed Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her home. 

     Billie was born January 5, 1931 and lived in Muddy as a child.  She was married June 18, 1948 to Charles F. Densch.  She was an assistant manager of Sears in Harrisburg.  She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.

     Billie is survived by four children:  daughter, Joyce Ann Reed and husband Dick of Providence, Kentucky; a son, Fred Densch and wife Janice of Eldorado; daughter, Linda Beth Mitacek of Harrisburg; son, Louis “Boco” Densch and wife Debbie of Eldorado; and sister and brother-in-law, Earl and Dawna Robb of St. Charles, Missouri.  Surviving grandchildren are:  Charles R. Reed and wife Christina of Alton, Illinois; Karl Densch III and wife Nicki of Eldorado; Brian Densch and wife Amber of Harrisburg; Sarah Mitacek and fiancée John Franta of Chicago, Illinois; Tim Mitacek and wife Beth of Harrisburg; Amanda Densch of Eldorado; and Nathan Densch and wife Meghan of Norris City, Illinois.  Also included are eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

     Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Louis and Sadie Foster; sister-in-law, Karleen Densch Tucker and brother-in-law, George Tucker; sister-in-law, Louise Densch Moore and brother-in-law, Parson Moore and son-in-law, Timothy J. Mitacek.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.  Pastor Ron George of the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg will officiate and burial will follow at Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
